Methi Seed (200 GM)
Fenugreek seeds, commonly known as Methi seeds, are native to western Asia and Southern Europe but it are widely grown and used in Indian cuisine. Bitter in taste, these seeds are highly valued for its medicinal qualities and multiple uses. Fenugreek seeds are often used to treat various ailments like diabetes and hypertension. Consuming 10 grams of fenugreek seeds soaked in hot water everyday helps control type-2 diabetes. Traditionally it is also used to treat stomach upsets, heartburn, acid reflux, skin diseases and kidney problems. It is a well known alternative to allopathic medicines to improve breast milk production in lactating mothers. Another well known use of methi seeds is to improve the testosterone hormone levels in men. All along, methi seeds have been added in small quantities to idli/dosa batter, rasam and sambar powders, dals and ground and added as thickening agents to currys.
