Methi Seed Powder (100 GM)
Methi seeds powder also known as fenugreek powder, are native to western Asia and Southern Europe but it are widely grown and used in Indian cuisine. Bitter in taste, these seed powder is often used to treat various ailments like diabetes and hypertension. Consuming 10 grams of fenugreek powder soaked in hot water everyday helps control type-2 diabetes. Traditionally it is also used to treat stomach upsets, heartburn, acid reflux, skin diseases and kidney problems. All along, methi seed powder can be used to offset recipes having a sour taste. A pinch of this powder is often used alongside tamarind while making recipes like rasam, sambar and puliyogare or tomato chutney. It finds a special use in pickling.
