Moth Bean (500 GM)
Vigna aconitifolia is a drought-resistant legume, commonly grown in arid and semi-arid regions of India. It is commonly called mat bean, moth bean or matki. These beans have a slightly sweet taste when cooked. They are a rich sources of folate, manganese, magnesium, iron, copper and selenium. They are rich antioxidants, lower LDL cholesterol levels and thus reduce risk of heart disease, reduce blood pressure, improve digestive health, reduce blood sugar and support pregnancy due to rich folate content. Moth beans can be consumed as sprouts, salad, soups, as vegetable gravies, sundal or usali, as dal or with oats.
