Red kidney beans are known as 'rajma' in India. Rajma contains a host of essential vitamins and minerals like Thiamine, Riboflavin, Calcium, Zinc, Potassium, Iron and Magnesium, as well as high amounts of protein and essential carbohydrates. Consuming rajma regularly lowers cholesterol, controls blood pressure, makes bones strong, keeps one leaner, aids good eyesight, has a low-glycemic index and thus good for diabetics.
