Turmeric is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant. It is the most effective nutritional supplement in existence and an ancient superfood. It grows underground and is dried and powdered for commercial use. Turmeric stick is the dried rhizome of the turmeric plant. It is used traditionally by hindus in wedding rituals, for auspicious counting. The turmeric is used similar to the sandalwood stick to address skin problem and allergies. It is also added to raw ingredients used to make sambar/rasam powders and then blended in a mill nearby.
